Green Energy and Catalysis Research Group

Introduction:

The leader of Green Energy Catalysis Research Group is Prof. Tiejun Wang, who is also the dean of the School of Chemical Engineering and Light Industry, Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT). The group members include Songbai Qiu, Xiaoqing Lin, Qian Zhang,Qingwei Meng, Yujia Liu and Xiaoping Wu. All members hold doctoral degrees, and studied/visited abroad before. Members also act as reviewers of various domestic and foreign academic journals. Currently, the group has 1 professor, 3 associate professors, 1 lecturer and 1 postdoctor. Meanwhile, more than 30 postgraduate and PhD students are studying in the group. The group keeps academic exchange and cooperation with many universities and institutes in United States, Japan, Australia, Singapore and China.

Our group focuses on the fundamental research and the key technology development of green energy transformation based on biomass, which include the synthesis of bio-based liquid fuel, fine chemicals, aqueous phase hydrogen production, hydrogen evolution reaction, enzymatic hydrolysis, fermentation and separation/purification et al.Recent years, our group undertook more than 40 research programs such as the National Key Research and Development Project, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, Science and Technology Program of Guangzhou et al. More than 200 research papers have been published on domestic and international professional journals. Related researches have been awarded by the BlueSky Award of UN, Guangdong Province Advance in Technology Prize et al. A number of research findings have been authorized as invention patents domestic and overseas.
